The Client wanted to expand useable space in his tiny, cramped kitchen while reusing the existing stove and refrigerator.
We recommended knocking down the wall that separated the kitchen from the dining room, creating a more open floor plan. A bar/half wall then defined the space between kitchen and hallway. Additionally, we continued the ceiling molding to make the newly combined space more consistent to the eye.
Given the limited footprint, and in order to include a dishwasher, we installed a GE compact sink and dishwasher unit, where a small dishwasher sits under the kitchen sink.
Although our Client wanted to do the painting after our work was completed, the after photos show a dramatic change from what once was a dated, small kitchen to a transformed, open and airy space.
