| "Hom Team Design really was great in assisting us with interior design ideas, especially getting the look of old coiffered ceilings inexpensively." -- Dermot C., San Francisco, CA |

The Abbey Tavern, a well established Irish sports bar in San Francisco's Richmond District, was going through a renovation of its interior, including the installation of a wheelchair lift and the retrofit of all bathrooms to meet ADA compliance.
HTD provided interior design consultation on their project in order to update and refresh this popular, well-worn Irish bar. We suggested papering the ceiling with a relief paper and painting it a high gloss mettalic color to simulate old copper ceilings. This technique was repeated on the ceiling above the pool table.
Wood wainscotting with picture frame molding surrounded the entire bar to invoke a European vibe.
The most stunning transformation was the back bar, which was built by hand in rich woods.
The Abbey's transformation made this popular tavern more upscale in look and feel, with a welcoming Old World aesthetic.
