The raw space sat over a free standing garage at the rear alley of the property.  The Client wanted to turn the space into a guest cottage.

The sloped ceilings presented a set of challenges.  To gain a more uniform floor to ceiling height, we dropped the floor to gain  and took advantage of any 'dead' space by building knooks such as shelving or added storage space.

The space transformed into a roomy open studio plan with a full bath ans spacious closet.  Ceiling speakers and recessed lighting that combined spot with wall wash lights throughout.  Hardwood floors.  For a heat and cooling source, a air/heat pump was installed.

The result:  a cozy guest cottage with sound system that welcomed any guest.
