  VICTORIAN EXTERIOR

An earlier rennovation turned this beautiful turn-of-the century home into a split personality.  The top half had Victorian details with capitals and turret.  The bottom half was modern with stainless steel wraps, grilled fencing.  The Owner said it felt like entering a prison.

HTD was asked to bring the bottom half back to the original look and feel of the house.

We took our visual cues from the top half of the home and from neighboring houses --the capitals, molding and wrought iron gates.  Custom capitals were made by a skilled craftsman and milled new fluted wood to re-wrap the columns.  Paneling from other exterior sections were repeated and used to wrap existing metal grill work.

Street level gating was replaced with a new wrought iron gate, new garage doors, and period appropriate lighting to complete the look.  The transformation was complete and this home went from a head cringer to a head turner.
